Steelhead fishing opens up in NCW

WENATCHEE — Hatchery steelhead fishing opened today on the Wenatchee, Entiat and Methow rivers and the upper Columbia River. In a press release, the state Department of Fish and Wildlife said it opened the season to reduce the number of hatchery fish and to increase the proportion of wild steelhead on spawning grounds in the region.
